Borusan Otomotiv has also undertaken important roles in making social contributions to the society as it was the case in business life. The traffic training campaigns for primary schools, booklets on environment protection, meetings for female drivers, the distribution of the first automobiles equipped with catalyst , Borusan Otomotiv Nurhan Kocabıyık Primary School and donating to the Anti-Smoking Foundation, with the revenue of optional smokers package in BMW automobiles are only a small part of our cultural dynamics. We continue our activities supporting sports and recreation events.

Okyanus Voluntariness Platform, where we combined our environmental awareness with our voluntariness concept, is continued in accordance with our sustainable social responsibility concept.

1991 February
The booklet "We can save the nature with 50 simple measures" was printed by Borusan Oto and distributed to 180 schools


1991 December
Borusan Oto was awarded the "Special Environment Award" by Nokta magazine.

1992 February
The company was awarded the "1992 Environment Friendly Award" by Environment and Woodlands Protection Society of Turkey.

1993 September
Borusan Oto started importation of catalyst equipped automobiles, a first in its sector.

1995 April
Borusan Oto started a traffic training campaign for primary schools.

1996 March
Environmental friendly water based paint was implemented to the automotive market for the first time in Turkey.

1997 January
Borusan Oto became the founder partner of Borusan Culture and Art.

1998 October
"Fiftyx50 Challenge" team, representing the 50th anniversary of the Land Rover visited the Child Protection Society in Istanbul.

2001 January
Borusan Otomotiv donates to the Anti-Smoking Foundation, with the revenue of optional smokers package in BMW automobiles.

2009
Besides, as Borusan Group, we came together with TEMA Foundation, Turmepa and Corporate Volunteer Association in İstanbul Belgrad Forest for the "Acorn Collecting Day" on Nov 8, Sunday.

We as 55 employees of Borusan Oto and Otomotiv family, have collected many acorn seeds in this activity, which 236 people including our guests from Bolluca Children Village have attended to.

We have greened some of these seeds in our homes and offices in order to be under planted, and have given the remaining seeds to TEMA.
Besides, we have collected some of the garbage in the Belgrad Forest in order to contribute to the environment.
